This Battle Belongs To The Lord

David, a young man after God’s own heart was empowered by God to rise up and take down a giant by the name of Goliath who had come out from the camp of the Philistines who had gathered their armies for battle at Socoh, which belonged to Judah. They were encamped on a hill between Socoh and Azekah.

This giant’s height was 6 cubits and a span. (about 9 feet tall or more) He was fully armored up for battle, with his sword, his spear and his javelin. He cried out to the men of King Saul saying, ” Choose a man from among yourselves, and let him come down to me in this valley. If he is able to fight with me and kill me, then we Philistines will be your servants, but if I prevail against him and kill him, then you shall be our servants and serve us.” King Saul was dismayed and greatly afraid as were his men because Goliath was a well known fierce man of war.

David the youngest son of Jess, knew that they were well able to take down this uncircumcised giant that was taking up space in their land because he believed the stories told him in the Torah about Joshua and Caleb and God’s command for Israel to rid themselves of the giants in their land. David told this to his brothers who laughed at him, then he told King Saul not to let any man’s heart fail because of this giant. I will go and fight with this Philistine. The King told David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him for you are but a youth, and he has been a man of war from his youth.” So David told him that God had empowered him to go after and kill both the lion, and a bear with his bare hands so this Philistine will be like one of them, for he has defied the armies of the living God and I believe the Lord will deliver me. So the King said, “Go and the Lord be with you” Saul was a desperate man and was willing to trust in David because David trusted in God.

David didn’t walk, he ran down the hill towards Goliath in confident trust because he knew his God; so in obedience to God’s command made to the Israelite’s to remove the giants from their land David knowing this went and struck the giant in the forehead with the stone of rebuke from this word of God saying, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of Hosts, the God of the armies of Israel whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you down and cut off your head. And I will give your dead body this day to the birds of the air and to the wild beasts of the earth, so that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel; and that all this assembly may know that the Lord saves not with sword and spear. For the battle is the Lord’s and He will give you into my hand. David swung his sling and the stone from his sling went and sank deep into Goliath’s forehead and he fell on his face to the ground. Then David cut off his head with the Goliath’s own sword, then held up his dripping  head for all to see. The men of Israel rose up with a mighty shout and now it was the Philistines that ran in fear with the men of Israel hot on their tails.

David showed us that we have nothing to fear when we rise up in holy boldness to bring down any enemy who come in to defy us and our land by trying to destroy the image of God to us and our children.

(1 Samuel 17:45-54 and other scriptures that will back up with support are Isaiah 54:17;  Ephesians 6:11-20; and 2 Chronicles 16:9)

I bring you a similar picture. I too come as a warrior, along with many others who are confident in the Lord who lives in us because we know how much He hates divorce and those evil spirits working behind the scenes who want to destroy God’s image to our children and those watching, to see if our God is a powerful loving faithful God like we say He is.  They want to see if He is able to protect us from the evil that is in this world today.

God wants us to rise up in holy boldness like David did and take down this giant of divorce that is defiling His body and His holy Name in our land today. Like David we are to come as an ambassadors of Christ in the spirit of reconciliation saying to Satan, “You Satan and your evil workers hiding behind divorce, teaching falsely that remarriage to someone other than their covenant spouse while they are alive is holy when God calls it adultery, think again! You come at us with your lies and false teachers, your courts of man made laws, but we run towards you in the power of the Lord God almighty, and tell you this weapon you formed against us will not prosper, and every tongue raised against us in judgment we condemn because we know our heritage as servants of the Lord, our righteousness is in the blood of Christ, not in us, so we have no to fear. We believe God is able to restore our families that have been destroyed by the evil one by our walking it out supernaturally in  unconditional love and forgiveness towards the ones who have wounded us, and continue to wound us, we do this because we want to be forgiven for the wounds we caused them and others, but most of all we want others to know the power of our God is real today like in David’s day. We take an axe to that root of bitterness that comes in to defy many and we cut it’s head off. Now we stand still and watch and wait upon the Lord of Hosts as He goes before us to battle not only for us, but for His kingdom glory to be known to those watching to see what He will do to protect His image to our children and our children’s children. We refuse to give up ground to our enemy, we stand strong in the Lord and fight the good fight for His Kingdom glory to be known to our next generation no matter how long or fierce this battle is. For greater is He that dwells in us than he who dwells in the world.

Scriptures supporting our stand:

John 14:12-18; 15:12-19;  Mark 10:27; Matthew 6; Matthew 19:6;  1 Corinthians 7:10-11;  Mark 10:9-12; 1 John 4:4; Matthew 6:9-15.

I received This Prophetic Word from the Lord back in October of 1997        ( I have this prophecy on tape)

Arise says the Lord, you are going to see salvation come forth to you and your household to the fullness there of, to the fullness there of. You are going to see a promise of God come to pass. Those who have doubted you, and those who have mocked you and laughed about you, are going to come to you, and they are going to say, “You’ve got something that I want. Please forgive me for judging you. I have put a judgment on you, like a curse upon you.”                                                 But God says, ” I will vindicate you, right before them because you have stood, and you have stood, and you have stood! And you have believed though you were weak you were willing. You came to the end of yourself and saw the iniquity in yourself.”                                                                                                          But God says, “I have created a hunger in you. I set you up because I want you real bad because of the calling on your life. What I have spoken over your life I am now going to activate that vision, and activate those seeds after I put you on the operating table where I will take a knife and cut deep, and root out all those strongholds. Fire will consume you, for it will not come to you on a silver platter.”

So true it has not come to me on a silver platter. I have experienced many things good and bad that has encouraged me along the way, persecution from people in the church is not a whole lot of fun, but my trust was and is in the Lord and He knows what He is doing to bring forth growth in my life, teaching me how to love my enemies for they were ignorant and know not what they were doing. God was using them to reveal things to me about myself that I needed to learn unconditional love towards all man, helping to bring His promise to pass. I have watched the Lord bring salvation to my 7 adult children very suddenly just to show me His power and now I continue to watch as my grandchildren are beginning to experience God as a real person, as well as their true Father. I am also watching the changes I see in my husband which I will speak on at a later date.
